Kelly Campbell
Director, Administration and Operations
Bio
Kelly Campbell is the Director of Administration and Operations at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. She is responsible for the Institute’s overall operations and general administration, including budget and finances, human resources, information technology, event coordination, facilities, research compliance and administration, and general support services and staffing.
Kelly has extensive experience in administration and finance, particularly in the university setting. She has been a member of the UW family for more than a decade, holding a series of senior administrative positions, first as an analyst in the University’s Budget Office, then as a manager in the School of Business, and finally as the Director of Finance and Administration in the School of Social Work. During this time, some of Kelly’s achievements included successful management of more than $30 million in state, University, self-sustaining, gift, and grant funds, and the design and implementation of new financial planning and reporting systems.
Prior to joining the UW, Kelly worked as the operational auditor at the headquarters of Amnesty International in London, where she established an internal audit function for the organization. She also worked as an auditor for the US Government Accountability Office, and as an accountant at Electronic Data Systems.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Washington.
