David Bartels joined the Post-Bachelor Fellowship program in 2007 at the Harvard Initiative for Global Health. David worked on the Road Traffic Injury Metrics project and was a member of the Causes of Death research team. David worked with ArcGIS to map road traffic injury patterns, estimating vehicle fleet size and assisting with injury redistribution work.
David’s work on the road traffic in Metrics Project shows that road traffic injuries have been increasing since 2005 and that developing countries need to focus on implementing traffic safety programs.
After his time as a Post-Bachelor Fellow, David continued to work at the Harvard Initiative for Global Health as a member of the Road Traffic Injury Metrics project.
