Alumni Profile
Joseph Hoisington worked on the Effective Intervention Coverage research team, where he studied vitamin A deficiency and the coverage of vitamin A supplementation.
In addition to this research, Joseph focused his attention at IHME on researching the effectiveness of India's Janani Suraksha Yojana, a conditional cash transfer program to increase births in health facilities. His work in this area helps inform the program’s administrators on how to enhance their program for greater effectiveness, and to assess if conditional cash transfer programs are efficient overall.
Joseph is now a PhD student at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
