Alumni Profile

Mara Horwitz worked on IHME’s Burden of Disease research team, estimating of the burden of hyperglycemia as a risk factor for health. In addition, Mara made contributions to the Demographics: Mortality and Population research team, studying the correlation between elevation and mortality in the United States.

After her time at IHME, Mara went on to study medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
