Alumni Profile

Tom Laakso worked at the Harvard Initiative for Global Health and IHME. While at IHME, Tom was a member of the Computational Algorithms research team building a general population microsimulator for the R statistical package to evaluate death distribution methods. Tom’s work at IHME will help improve accuracy of estimating under-5 mortality at the global level. After his fellowship, Tom studied Atmospheric Physics at Harvard University.
