IHME Director Christopher Murray delivers keynote speech at World Malaria Day 2012 hosted by PATH
Event
IHME Director Christopher Murray is the keynote speaker at the commemoration of World Malaria Day 2012 held by the PATH Malaria Control Program in Seattle. The global theme this year is "Sustain Gains, Save Lives: Invest in Malaria." Investments in malaria control have yielded remarkable improvements in recent years. Yet this progress is tenuous and can be reversed unless decision-makers and donors sustain their focus on malaria as a global health priority.
Dr. Murray will discuss recent advances in the fight against the disease as well as challenges and opportunities for the future. The event includes a community marketplace, where local partners will present their latest work in malaria control.
