IHME holds consultative meeting for the Malaria Control Policy Assessment in Uganda
Event
IHME hosted a consultative meeting on the Malaria Control Policy Assessment (MCPA) project in Uganda with the Uganda Malaria Surveillance Project. The goal of the project was to evaluate the effectiveness of malaria interventions and provide decision-makers with the best possible information about malaria control efforts. At this consultative meeting, local experts in the field provided guidance and feedback on the direction of the research project and on how to effectively disseminate the results.
Over 30 participants attended from the Ministry of Health, National Malaria Control Program, University of Makerere, PMI country office, PATH country office, Uganda Bureau of Statistics, Malaria Consortium, and University of Zambia. Associate Professor Stephen Lim, who leads IHME’s intervention coverage research, presented an introduction to the MCPA project.
