IHME hosts Open House
Event
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) hosted an Open House in recognition of three years of productive work. IHME researchers were on hand to discuss the Institute’s work to better understand the current state of population health and the steps necessary to improve it.
The Open House provided a number of different ways that guests could interact with IHME’s research and data. Guests explored:
- Innovative visualizations using mortality, immunization coverage, and health financing datasets, revealing fascinating patterns and trends across countries and over time.
- The Global Health Data Exchange, the new online platform for IHME results, source data, and health indicators.
- Cutting-edge tools that IHME uses to analyze datasets.
- The “risk score calculator,” which uses inputs of weight, blood pressure, and other key characteristics to tally one’s risk of premature death.
