IHME's Board Chair, Julio Frenk, presents at 2011 Global Health Conference

IHME Board Chair, Julio Frenk, presented on transforming education to strengthen health systems in an interdependent world at the 2011 Global Health Conference.
Dr. Frenk joined other experts in the panel “Lancet Commission Report on the Education of Health Professionals for the 21st Century: From Concept to Implementation,” moderated by King Holmes, Chair of the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington.
Focusing on advancing health equity in the 21st century, the conference was co-hosted by the Global Health Education Consortium, the Canadian Society for International Health, and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health and brought together students, academics, non-governmental organizations, and global health leaders and featured speakers from more than 20 countries.
IHME was also on hand as an exhibitor to discuss our fellowship programs, our report on the latest breast and cervical cancer trends, our recent evaluation of an HIV/AIDS prevention program in India, and the upcoming launch of our Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2010 results.
