Collaborator
The World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO-EMRO) coordinates technical programs in the Eastern Mediterranean region that provide critical information on the state of health.
A particular focus is on the health systems and health service development arena. WHO-EMRO also oversees a vitally important body of information for the region, the Pan Arab Project for Family Health (PAPFAM) dataset. In 2010, IHME and WHO-EMRO began a collaboration to analyze data on intervention coverage across the Eastern Mediterranean health sector.
The project will produce valid estimates of effective intervention coverage. IHME and WHO-EMRO will identify the priority interventions in family and reproductive health, measure the coverage of these interventions in the PAPFAM countries, and provide a valuable resource to researchers and policymakers for evaluating effectiveness and coverage of these interventions.
