Health Metrics Network
Collaborator
Established in 2005 in Geneva, the Health Metrics Network (HMN) is the first global partnership dedicated to strengthening national health information systems.
IHME and HMN co-hosted the Small Area Measurement and Health Information Systems technical consultation in 2009 in Seattle, WA. The meeting’s purpose was to identify the opportunities and next steps for small area measurement, in order to strengthen the evidence base for improving health systems performance and health outcomes at the subnational level.
Presenters discussed various methodological approaches, emphasizing how these methods could be validated to demonstrate their value to policymakers.
