Collaborator
The Inter-American Development Bank is the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean, with a strong commitment to achieve measurable results, increased integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Since 2010, IHME began working with the Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) Division of Social Protection and Health to develop household and health facility surveys as part of the Salud Mesoamerica 2015 Initiative. IHME will use data from the surveys in combination with other existing sources to measure coverage of key interventions in nutrition, immunization, and maternal and child health.
This initiative supports efforts to improve health system performance and build capacity in Mesoamerica using data collected though IHME’s surveys and other sources. The eight countries involved in the project are El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, and southern Mexico.
