Collaborator
The Instituto Nacional de Salud Publica, the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico, is dedicated to promoting social equity, the health of the entire population, innovation in health systems, and training of public health practitioners.
IHME investigators worked closely with a team at the Instituto Nacional de Salud Publica (INSP) on the Population Health Metrics Research Consortium (PHMRC) Mexico Study. PHMRC was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as part of the Gates Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative #13 to develop technologies that permit quantitative assessment of population health status.
The INSP team is led by the Division of Reproductive Health. Beginning in 2008, researchers at INSP successfully implemented two questionnaires as part of this study – the Verbal Autopsy questionnaire and the Symptomatic Diagnosis questionnaire. They have also collaborated on the analysis of the resulting data and contributed to publications.
