This document functions as a short description of the development assistance for health (DAH) databases created in 2009 by the financial flows work group at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).
For a detailed description of sources and analyses used in the creation of the two databases, please refer to the methods annex of Financing Global Health 2009: Tracking Development Assistance for Health.

- Integrated income and disbursement/expenditure database (1990-2007)
Building blocks: project databases, financial statements, and annual reports
Enables:
- Estimation of DAH envelope (disbursements and expenditures)
- Trends in DAH (disbursements and expenditures) by global health institutions
- Trends in DAH (disbursements and expenditures) by source of income
- Graphing and additional use information available from Code for Utilizing Income & Disbursement Expenditure Database.txt in zip file.
- Integrated project-level database (1990-2007)
Building blocks: project databases, IRS 990s
Enables analysis of trends in disbursements on grants and loans from key agencies by:
- Funding agency
- Country/geographic region
- Disease component
- UN agencies annual reports and audited financial statements (1990-2007)
- US NGO database, including data from USAID VolAg report (1990-2007)
