Samath Dharmaratne, Former Post-Graduate Fellow
Samath is from Kandy, Sri Lanka, and earned his MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and an MSc and MD in community medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine at the University of Colombo. At IHME, Samath analyzed cause of death data for Sri Lanka and India and helped to estimate the measurement of disease burden, years lived with disability, for the Global Burden of Disease 2005 study. Samath returned to Sri Lanka to be a senior lecturer at the University of Peradeniya in the Faculty of Medicine. |
