IHME grew from an organization on paper to an organization in practice
in its first nine months. Starting with three staff in July 2007,
we grew to 45 by March 2008 including the first cohort of Post-Bachelor
Fellows; several key faculty members and research scientists driving
work in the research areas; key members of the executive team; and
a solid core of administrative and management staff to support the
growing operations. IHME moved into a cost-effective, long term home
in the 5th and Bell Building on February 1st. The first Board meeting
was April 9th along with the public open house. The
first cohort of Post-Graduate Fellows began in September 2008.
